How To Find The Dub Hut
We are based just outside of Ashford, Kent TN26 2NR, (10 minutes from Junction 10 off the M20) where we have an open workshop.
We operate an “open-door” policy at the centre, so please feel welcome to visit and see conversions or simply check on how your van is doing in the workshop!

We offer a variety of bespoke van conversions. Whatever you have in mind, we are able to work with you and your personal ideas. We are working in association with Austops, WestDubs, Reimo and other leading manufacturers of pop tops covering Kent, the South East and Europe.
For these roofing systems we are able to offer Pop Tops in a variety of different canvas colours, including the ever popular Scenic Canvas, which offers a complete open top area for those lovely summer evenings.

Calum Chrystie
The Dub Hut Owner / Director
Calum, (company owner) initially launched his career in the building / construction industry. Calum has developed a keen eye for exceptional customer service and meticulous attention to detail. His enduring passion has consistently revolved around vans and van conversions. After dedicating numerous years to working on vans at home, Calum took the leap to establish The Dub Hut Van Conversion Centre, bringing his dream to life. Outside of work, Calum relishes quality time spent with both his family and friends. He is a familiar face on the local golf courses and loves mountain biking.
Andy Abel
Electrical Engineer
Andy and Calum have been colleagues in the construction industry for an extended period. Andy has since honed his skills and become an expert in camper van electrical systems. Consequently, he handles all our electrical and gas-related tasks here at The Dub Hut. In his personal life, Andy finds joy in hitting the trails on his mountain bike and paddleboarding. He also cherishes moments spent with his friends, family, and his adorable two granddaughters and grandson.
Debbie Henderson
Upholstery
Debbie is a valued member of our upholstery centre, she is known for her keen attention to detail in all your camper upholstery needs, she share our passion for VW's owning a T4 and enjoys attending festivals and cherishing family time
Mark Usher
The Screen Saver Ltd.
Mark works closely with the team, conducting repairs and replacements of windscreens as needed. With over 35 years of expertise in windscreeen fitting, he is equipped to work both on-site and within our workshop. During his leisure hours, Mark finds relaxation in watching television soaps (perhaps a little too much) and spending quality time with family and friends alike. His latest interest is attempting to improve on his golfing skills (which is sadly not going to plan).
Harry Burr
Van Convertor
Harry is a member of the workshop team here at The Dub Hut and is fully trained in all aspects of campervan conversions specialising in all carpet lining works. With previous carpentry experience he brings valuable skills to our camper projects. In Harry's spare time he enjoys spending time at the gym, watching sports and spending his weekends with his friends.
Ryan Walsh
Workshop Manager
Ryan has been with The Dub Hut for many years now and has worked his way up to become workshop manager working on all camper conversion projects, but specialises on the installation of pop tops. In Ryan's spare time he enjoys camping with his girlfriend and their crazy, energetic and adventurous dog Morgan.
Maria Chrystie
The Dub Hut Owner / Sales and Marketing
Maria is also company owner of The Dub Hut. She has extensive skills in marketing and sales. Her role involves liaising with customers, meticulously planning conversions, and managing various aspects of the operation. Maria's commitment to business development and exceptional customer service shines through. She ensures customers receive the highest level of support. In her free time, Maria tries to enjoy cycling adventures on her mountain bike and walking with her beloved canine companions, Vinnie and Ollie. She's a sociable individual, frequently surrounded by family and friends. You can always count on her to be the last one to leave a party!!
Mac Chrystie
CNC Manager
Mac has been an integral part of the family business right from its inception, gaining a deep understanding of the van conversion industry through hands-on experience. Over time, Mac has undergone rigorous training and has assumed the role of CNC Manager for The Dub Hut and now has his own business Dub Hut Camper kitchens where he offer kitchen units and pods to DIY customers. He is the mastermind behind the design of our innovative kitchen ranges. Additionally, he takes charge of crafting all the ply lining for our vans and other works relating to such van conversion works. During his free time, Mac indulges his passion of golf, football and searching for his next fast car !!
Andrew Baker
Gas Safe / Habitation Engineer
Andrew works with us and undertakes all of our gas safe / Habitation Certifications. He has many years experience in working on motorhomes, caravans and campers alike offering our customers a years certificate for your insurance companies and more importantly to ensure your camper is gas safe for all of your adventures. Andrew has worked with us since the start of The Dub Hut and enjoys his regular coffee and of course cake. Another motorbike man, Andrew has a few motorbikes and enjoys spending time out and about exploring the U.K. and Europe. We love having Andrew here, he can always guarantee to make you laugh and offer one of his hilarious stories.
Cassie Ager
Office Administration
Cassie, who is affectionately known as Cas, plays a crucial role as a full-time member of the Dub Hut Office team. She works closely with Maria, handling administrative tasks, managing our hectic workshop diary, and maintaining communication with our suppliers and customers. Outside of work, Cassie enjoys the time she spends with her family and friends. Her life is enriched by the presence of her delightful guinea pig, Dorris, and her playful office dog, Winnie, who often warmly welcomes and interacts with our valued customers and regular visitors.
Steve Young
Bespoke Cabinet Maker
Steve has been a dedicated member of The Dub Hut team for numerous years. His primary responsibility involves crafting bespoke carpentry pieces, adding a personalised touch to our customers' vans and campers. Throughout his time at The Dub Hut, Steve has crafted some exquisite pieces that have allowed our customers to realise their dream campers. During his free time, Steve continues to embrace the camper lifestyle, frequently updating his own T4 camper.
