Large Campervans

Large van conversions in Kent

We can alter any, MWB LWB or XLWB vehicle to become a state of the art campervan. Van makes and models we commonly work on are VW Crafter, Fiat Ducato, Ford Transit Hightop, ex-minibuses, Citroen Relay and the Vauxhall Movono.

In our experience, these models work really well as larger campervan conversions, mainly because they provide a huge amount of comfort on the road.

Most of our customers like to upgrade from an Transporter / Transit sized campervan to an MWB / LWB once they feel accustomed with camper/off-grid life. These vehicles add comfort and utilities like larger beds, a toilet and shower facilities. We can install anything and everything into your van.

Off-grid power & hot water

Larger campervans allow for more advanced electrical setups, including higher-capacity solar panels and powerful inverter systems. These give camper owners the ability to run more appliances at once and enjoy greater off-grid independence.

We regularly install the popular Diesel Truma Combi 4D and 6D systems, which provide both hot water and blown-air heating throughout the vehicle.

These systems can be ducted into multiple areas, including the main living space, garage, and shower room, ensuring consistent warmth across your entire campervan.

Some people use this setup to utilise the shower area as a drying space for wet gear. After a walk in the rain, hang your wet clothes in the shower, switch on the heating, and let the warm air circulate until your things are dry.

Sleeps four people

MWB and LWB Campervans can sleep four people, ideal if you have two adults and two children, or travel regularly with pets.

There are a wide range of sleeping options to choose from. Some campers opt for a pop top roof to create an additional sleeping area, a fixed or actuator-assisted bed for convenience and ease of use. Some prefer a lounge area that quickly converts into a second double bed

Double bunk beds are also a feasible option with the space of a larger van. They’re perfect for adults and children and just as comfortable as your bed at home.

Increasing van living space & utilities

Larger campervans are a brilliant investment for anyone who has tried and tested a smaller campervan, and feel it’s time to upgrade.

Larger campervan conversions can provide:

  • Ample headroom
  • Toilet
  • Shower
  • A full kitchen
  • More storage
  • A fixed bed
  • Better space for pets and children
  • Better management of camping equipment and wet gear

If you’re planning on a camping or living experience, this is the kind of setup that makes it work.
