It goes without saying… we love campervan heaters! They make for a more flexible use of your van. You can enjoy your time away regardless what the weather throws at you. It doesn’t matter if you’re keen for a last minute weekend at the beach, hitting the alps with your mates or simply braving sub-zero temperatures! There’s nothing more comforting than the thought of knowing you have a safe, reliable, and efficient heater in your campervan. Mmmmm…
Cosy camping means decent heating
Personally, I really struggle with the cold weather. It gets right into my bones and once I’m cold, I can’t warm up again very easily. Camping can mean a lot more time spent outside. If you’re anything like me – any opportunity to warm up and stay that way is important.
I always think about this when I am working on a new van with my team. Whenever we might be putting together a Dub Hut “show camper” or one of my personal campers, it will always have an Autoterm diesel heaters installed. That’s a deal breaker!
There’s no point to chucking money at a van that’s flipping freezing as soon as the sun goes down. Creature comforts matter to all of us. I tend to opt for the comfort controller, which offers me immediate control over the inside temperature.
Choosing camping over airports…
Is it just me? Some holidays just don’t seem to be as good as they used to be. We have noticed loads of customers choosing to make the most of their vans instead of opting for airports.
And is it any wonder? The ongoing delays, luggage weight limitations,, massive parking fees and the rising cost of transfer vehicles… People don’t want to blow it all on travel unless you can really enjoy the road.
Loads of you guys are venturing to the Alps and beyond in campers or Kombi’s. For many of you, we have fitted heaters ahead of time and it’s made all the difference to your trip.
When you skip the airports, you also have the advantage of packing those extra set of ski coats and snowboards. That makes for a really awesome trip.
Autoterm Air 2D – What’s in the box?
Full Autoterm heater specifications:
- Works on diesel fuel
- Maximum heating power of 2 kW for 12V or 24V model
- Can produce up to 86 m3 of hot air flow in one hour
- Used to heat small size space
- Reliable operation in low temperatures (up to -45°C/-49°F)
- Available with 3 different marine installation kits or standard installation kit
- Low noise level, low fuel consumption (Max – 0,24 l/h), implemented self-diagnostic
- Can be operated with control panel or via smartphone with additional modem
- Best suited for small truck cabins, commercial vehicle cabins or cargo compartments, small campers, off-highway vehicles, boats (up to 33 feet/10m long)
Capacity: The capacity of the Autoterm Air 2kW diesel air heater is between 0.8 kW and 2 kW, and it is capable of heating up 75 m3 of air hourly. It maintains excellent economy and uses between 0.1 litres and 0.24 litres of diesel per hour.
Push button controller: The latest push button controller is currently proving popular with a simple on/off coloured highlighted button, these are easy to use, but look a stylish addition to any campervan interior.
Controller options: All of our Autoterm heaters come with a range of controller options. There’s the basic (PU27) controller to one which allows you to pre-programme 7 days in advance, 3 times a day. These comfort controllers are especially beneficial for those that use their camper as their everyday vehicle. This controller option offers the opportunity to have the heater start an hour or so before you set off in your camper with a defrosted vehicle and nice and warm for your journey to work or on the school run.

3 year warranty: The Dub Hut offers an exclusive, full 3 year warranty, and a certificate of installation. The certificate paperwork can be offered to your insurance company to ensure the newly fitted heater is covered within your insurance documentation. All of their heaters have all been fully tested and all come with the ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 certification.
FREE silent pump: The super quiet pump comes free (saving you £99.00). The silent pump is particularly useful for light sleepers (and anyone who can’t stand background noise).
1 day fitting service: 1 day fitting service, we can always drop you at our local train station and you can enjoy a day at the Designer Outlet or we have an office upstairs should you wish to work whilst your heater is being fitted.
